The Associação dos Escoteiros de Portugal celebrated its 113th anniversary on September 5, 2023, Saturday, at the Parque Ecológico do Funchal. The event marked another year of existence for the organization dedicated to Portuguese youth.

The association was founded on September 6, 1913, thus completing 113 years of existence. Throughout these more than two decades, the organization has dedicated its work exclusively to Portuguese youth.

The method used by the association is based on the system initiated by Baden-Powell, founder of Scouting. This method is fundamentally based on education through action, an approach that prioritizes learning through practice and direct experience.

Currently, this educational philosophy is widely recognized and applied in various contexts, having become common in the modern educational landscape.
