Jornal da Madeira3 September 2026 at 16:08

The city of Machico, in the Madeira Archipelago, receives on September 20 the XI Blessing of the Helmets, an event that brings together motorcyclists in a journey dedicated to faith, fellowship and passion for two wheels. The initiative is promoted by the Blessing of the Helmets Association (ABC) and features a gathering scheduled for 10:20 AM.

One of the central moments of the encounter will be the Procession of Banners, which involves participating motorcycle groups and clubs, asserting itself over the years as an important moment of meeting for the motorcycle community. This year's edition is presented under the motto "One faith, one road, one spirit", seeking to associate the religious dimension with unity and fraternity among participants.

The event features the participation of motorcycle groups from different origins, including the Madeira Motorcycle Club and the Motard Sempre Livre group, from São Miguel in the Azores. The XI Blessing of the Helmets aims to bring together motorcyclists and their families in a journey of fellowship and faith, asking for protection for all those who daily travel the roads on two wheels.
