A 42-year-old man was arrested for suspected arson of a forest fire in Montalegre. The arrest was carried out by the Republican National Guard, which investigated the case until identifying the suspect.
The fire consumed an area of approximately six thousand square meters of vegetation, including herbaceous and scrub vegetation of brambles. The fire occurred in an area of scrubland and vegetation characteristic of the region.
The suspect was identified through investigative procedures carried out by the authorities. After the arrest, the man was formally charged and subject to identity and residence terms.
