The Central Bank determined on Thursday the extrajudicial liquidation of Trustee Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários and Banvox Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários. The two asset managers were linked to the Banco Master scandal and the schemes involving Daniel Vorcaro's bank. The liquidations do not affect the Credit Guarantee Fund.
The companies were part of the same economic group, and Trustee was the leader of the conglomerate. Both were controlled by Maurício Quadrado, who participated in the ownership of Master alongside Daniel Vorcaro.
According to the Central Bank, the liquidation of Trustee was motivated by "serious violations" of the rules governing its activity. In the case of Banvox, the regulator explained that the decision was made considering the interest link between the two companies, evidenced by the exercise of control power and the existence of common management with Trustee.
