A scandal involving the judge who headed the trial against Bolsonaro threatens Lula's electoral campaign

Brazilians know that on October 4 the first round of the presidential elections will take place, and unless there is a catastrophe, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Jair Bolsonaro will compete in a second round 21 days later to govern Brazil starting January 1. Citizens also know that before going to the polls, the country will be the scene of numerous episodes that could impact the final result.

One of these episodes already promises to have an impact on voter preferences and is related to the scandal involving Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes. The scandal threatens Lula's electoral campaign.

Alexandre de Moraes is not just any magistrate, but rather the one who led the historic prosecution against Jair Bolsonaro, which resulted in his conviction to 27 years and three months in prison for attempting to overthrow Lula on January 8, 2023.
