A specialist exercise instructor, Sara worked with dozens of people in the region and was known for working at different sports facilities in the city. She had turned 37 on June 2 and was the mother of a little boy. She was battling a neoplasm that had been recently diagnosed.
In recent days, social media has been filled with tributes and messages of condolence from friends, colleagues, clients, and professional organizations. Angel's Gym, where Sara completed an internship in 2023, and UNiK are among the facilities in Albufeira that have already posted messages of condolence on social media. In one tribute, Angel's Gym highlighted the professional's "energy" and "contagious smile," describing her as "the woman who gave energy and colour to various gyms in Albufeira."
Sara Anselmo's body will lie in state on Monday, September 7, starting at 12:30, at the New Cemetery Chapel in Albufeira. The religious ceremony is scheduled for 1:00 PM, followed by a procession to the Albufeira Crematorium. The family thanks everyone for their expressions of sympathy and requests that those attending the ceremonies wear white clothing.
