The governor of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Couto, published Decree 50.458 this Thursday (day 3) in the State Official Gazette, changing the working hours at state public offices this Friday (day 4). The working day at the offices will start at 8am and end at 3pm.
The decision was made due to the first day of the Rock in Rio music festival and the large expected crowd concentration in the Rock in Rio City region. The government justifies that the measure is necessary to minimize the impacts resulting from increased circulation of people, especially in the Barra da Tijuca region and its access routes, requiring special urban mobility operations.
Working hours will be normal for essential activities. The state Health Secretariat will independently regulate the schedule at public health network units.
