Campeão das Províncias3 September 2026 at 15:10

The 21st edition of Caramulo Motorfestival takes place between Friday and Sunday, at Caramulo, in the municipality of Tondela, with more than 50 thousand visitors expected. The event places Formula 1 at the center of the programming, featuring the participation of the Copersucar FD03 in the Castrol Historical Hillclimb, for the first time in the festival's history. This edition also features the highest number of registered automobiles ever, with more than 180 vehicles and 150 motorcycles.

Among the guests are former drivers Pedro Matos Chaves and Tiago Monteiro, the only Portuguese driver to achieve a podium in a Formula 1 Grand Prix. The connection to the top motorsport category extends to the Caramulo Museum, where the "Fórmula Mágica" exhibition is on display, already visited by more than 35 thousand people, and the "The Senna Experience" simulator, which recreates driving the Lotus 97T of Ayrton Senna at the Estoril circuit.

This year's edition marks the 140 years of the automobile, with an exceptional outing of the 1886 Benz Dreirad, belonging to the Caramulo Museum collection and considered the first automobile with an internal combustion engine, and the 80 years of the Vespa, through a ride on the last day. Several premieres are also planned, including the world presentation of the new Opel Corsa GSE and the national premiere of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, a limited series of ten units.

The festival also includes spaces dedicated to automobile history and culture, such as Retro Park, the exhibition "The Second World War Live and in Color," Bikersville dedicated to two wheels, the TT Track & Bivouac for off-road, Motorlândia with activities for children and the Automobilia Fair with parts and collectible objects. The organization has reinforced free transportation within the event area, in a partnership with the Viseu Dão Lafões Intermunicipal Community and the Auto-Industrial Group.
