A recent study revealed that Portuguese families became poorer during the years 2024 and 2025, in a trend that contrasts with what was observed in the rest of the world.
According to the study's data, wealth per capita in Portugal decreased by 1.6% in just the last two years, representing a significant drop in families' economic purchasing power.
This decline places Portugal in a position opposite to that of most countries, where family wealth growth was observed in the same period.
The study does not specify which factors contributed to this decline or what measures could reverse this trend in Portuguese families.
