The Parish Council of Vieira do Minho will hold on the 21st, at 2:00 PM, the traditional Corn Husking, at the grounds of the old Primary School of Sanguinhedo. The event celebrates community roots and Minhota culture, bringing together residents and visitors for an afternoon dedicated to intergenerational bonding.
The initiative aims to promote the revival of the rural customs of the region, through the reconstitution of the traditional corn husking. The organization also guarantees moments of great festive entertainment, including the offering of the usual spit-roasted pig for all present.
The local council reinforces the invitation to all the population to participate in the celebration, underscoring the importance of keeping alive the traditions that define the municipality's identity. Entry to the event is free.
