The residents of Ceuta returned to the streets to protest, this time against the creation of detention centers for migrants in the Spanish city on African territory. The protests focused on an open area next to a nursery that is being prepared by the government to accommodate migrants. The residents also protested against the announcement of another detention center at the West Quay of the port, located next to two residential areas. This is not the first time that the residents of Ceuta have taken to the streets to protest, although the previous protests addressed other issues related to migration management in the region.
