Marco Silva has three new options at Benfica for the Europa League. The Eagles' coach will be able to count on the most recent signings in the UEFA Europa League league phase, with the club preparing to update the registered list in the European competition. According to newspaper A Bola, Claudio Echeverri, João Palhinha, and El Karouani will be part of Benfica's new list for the competition. The registration had to be finalized by the end of this Wednesday, with the Eagles having already sent the list.
The additions of Echeverri, Palhinha, and El Karouani constitute the main differences compared to the list previously used in the play-off against Aarhus. The three signings will strengthen Marco Silva's options for the league phase of the European competition.
The update of the list also implies some changes in the previously registered group. Among the players who are no longer part of the options for the Europa League is Richard Ríos, who was meanwhile loaned to Al Ittihad. The Colombian international traveled to Saudi Arabia and will no longer be part of Marco Silva's options in the European competition.
