TV Globo presenter Luciano Huck joined the solidarity campaign to help 10-year-old Adriano Álvaro Melo, known as Alvinho, and his mother Priscila, who are living in a shelter in Grajaú, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Huck posted about it on his social media this Thursday, the day he turns 55, asking followers to donate to the family instead of giving him birthday presents.

The presenter committed to being the first to make a donation and called on his audience to participate in the campaign, which aims to raise funds to buy a house for Alvinho and his mother. Donations can be made through Pix using the key 19252032711, at Banco do Brasil.

Huck's mobilization joins a solidarity campaign that formed since the boy's story was featured by GLOBO on Monday. The family's ordeal, living in a vulnerable situation, caught the attention of many people and now has the support of one of the most well-known presenters on Brazilian television.
