The Development Societies decided to close a section of the Praia Formosa – Socorridos Maritime Promenade, more specifically Section 3, near Cimentos Madeira. The measure was taken after signs of pavement subsidence were detected in that area.

Since the first alert, the Development Societies have been implementing a set of preventive and technical actions. The main objective of these measures is to safeguard the safety of all users of the Maritime Promenade.

The decision to close is directly related to the concern regarding the signs of pavement subsidence observed in Section 3. This situation led to the need to restrict access to that area while the necessary interventions are carried out.
