Mendonça leaves society of institute that operates in the education area

Minister André Mendonça, rapporteur of the Master case at the Supreme Federal Court (STF), announced on Thursday that he left the society of the Iter Institute, which was founded by him and operates in the education area. The minister's office stated in a note that the exit occurred without "any financial compensation," with the transfer of all the quotas belonging to him and his wife.

According to the note, the quotas and any corresponding values will remain entirely destined for social and educational purposes, as Mendonça had already decided and announced at the beginning of this year. The text adds that the minister "never obtained profit from the institute."

The decision was announced one day after Mendonça had revealed that he met with banker Daniel Vorcaro once, in March 2025. The meeting dealt with an action that discussed precatório credits of interest to the bank.
