The chief prosecutor of the National Court, Jesús Alonso, decided to remove prosecutor José Perals from the proceedings opened related to the migratory crisis experienced in Ceuta on July 30 and 31. The decision was made after the police report on the Moroccan agents involved in the situation became known.
Jesús Alonso decided to assume the investigation himself and be the one to pronounce on the competence of the National Court to investigate the entry of more than 72,000 people in the autonomous city of Ceuta.
Legal sources informed EL PERIÓDICO about this decision made by the chief prosecutor of the National Court. The removal of José Perals from the case marks a change in the conduct of the proceedings related to this migratory episode.
