A judge from the Lisbon Criminal Court acquitted producer Rita Rodrigues of the charge of insulting two agents from the Rato Police Station. The court did not consider it proven that the defendant had called the two police officers "their fools," as they alleged.
The producer was also accused of trying to prevent the arrest of a street vendor. The two agents who accused her are currently in prison, involved in the so-called "Rato case," a judicial process that investigates alleged irregularities at that police station.
