The National Institute of Medical Emergencies (INEM) activated its contingency plan following a computer failure at the Emergency Patient Dispatch Guidance Centers (CODU). The situation was reported by CNN Portugal.
The Institute guarantees that, despite the failure, the response to emergency calls was maintained, with the emergency call handling capacity not being compromised.
Through a statement sent to CNN Portugal, INEM reported that the situation had already returned to normal, indicating that the computer failure had been resolved.
