New rules published that facilitate hiring of teachers

The Ministry of Education published today a decree with new rules that facilitate the hiring of teachers. The measure aims to address staffing needs in schools.

One of the main new features is the creation of a financial incentive for teachers who postpone retirement. These professionals may receive an extra remuneration of 750 euros per month if they choose to continue teaching.

However, this additional payment is subject to a condition. The supplement will only be granted when there are no available teachers who can guarantee the classes in question.

The publication of these rules comes in a context of difficulties in hiring teachers for certain specialties and regions.
