The Pabst Blue Ribbon beer brand is offering a reward of up to $20,000 (approximately R$ 102,000) for whoever helps recover stolen cargo in California, United States. The theft occurred on August 17 at an Anheuser-Busch distribution center located approximately 65 kilometers east of Los Angeles. In total, 1,602 boxes of beer from the brands Pabst Blue Ribbon and Old Milwaukee non-alcoholic were stolen, totaling approximately 18,000 kilos of cargo valued by police at $70,000.

According to local authorities, the theft was carried out in two distinct episodes during the same day. In the first criminal attempt, approximately $45,000 in merchandise that was supposed to be sent to Tucson, Arizona, were removed from the warehouse, but never arrived at the final destination. The products never arrived in Tucson.

Just over an hour after the first theft, a supposed outsourced company used falsified documents to remove another $25,000 in products from the same warehouse. The criminals managed to deceive the distribution center employees by presenting false documentation to justify the removal of the cargo.
