The City Council of Salvaterra de Magos approved the opening of the procedure for the simplified amendment of the Coitadinha Detailed Plan, an urban planning document that regulates an urban expansion zone in the municipality. The proposal was approved unanimously by the members of the municipal executive.
The approved amendment may increase the maximum housing capacity planned for that zone by 157 dwellings, representing a significant growth in the construction potential of the area covered by the plan.
The amendment procedure covers a total of 35 lots, indicating that the intervention will be applied to a substantial part of the Coitadinha urban expansion zone.
The city council intends to flexibilize the use of floors that are currently obligatorily destined for certain functions, allowing greater versatility in the use of buildings and, consequently, an increase in the housing capacity of the zone.
