The 22-year-old Madeiran international Luana Jesus will play this season in the German championship for the Frankfurter Handball Club. This will be her first professional experience outside Portugal.
Luana Jesus started playing handball in Madeira, representing Club Sports da Madeira. In the Region, she also played for Madeira Andebol SAD for two seasons.
She then moved to mainland Portugal to study, where she represented the teams of Almeida Garrett and Colégio de Gaia in the First Division of national handball.
The transfer to the Frankfurter Handball Club represents a new step in the young Madeiran's career, adding international experience to her already consolidated career in Portuguese handball.
