The municipality of Salvaterra de Magos collected 214 abandoned or stray animals between January and July this year. During the same period, 176 animal adoptions were completed, according to the city council.

The councilor with responsibility for animal welfare, Noel Pereira, confirmed these figures to the LusA news agency, stating that 214 animals were collected in the first seven months of the year and that 176 adoptions were made during this period.
