The new Eastern Bypass to Évora on Itinerary Principal 2 (IP2) was inaugurated on Thursday morning, September 3, after an investment of 54.9 million euros. The infrastructure was funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Hugo Espírito Santo, and took place at the new bypass.
This project aims to improve road connections in the Évora region, contributing to better mobility and access to the city.
The investment of nearly 55 million euros is part of the PRR, which foresees the modernization of infrastructure in Portugal as part of the country's economic recovery.
