Santander has opened applications for the 22nd edition of the Primus Inter Pares Award, a scholarship program for graduates who wish to continue their studies for a master's degree in Portugal. The bank plans to grant five scholarships in total, one worth 15 thousand euros for the grand winner and four scholarships of ten thousand euros each for other distinguished young people.
Students in their final year of undergraduate studies or graduates from all fields of knowledge, with Portuguese nationality and an academic average of at least 14 points, may apply. Applications run until October 31st, followed by online psychometric tests and individual or group interviews.
The final stage of the selection process is the "Primus Day," where ten final candidates will be presented to the jury that will decide the winners. The bank's goal is to recognize young people with high academic and leadership potential, contributing to enabling them to pursue their path regardless of their economic condition.
The CEO of Santander Portugal, Isabel Guerreiro, states that the award has distinguished young people with talent and potential to make a difference for over two decades, reinforcing that merit should open doors and that economic circumstances should not limit anyone's opportunities.
