Spain will create auctions to finance projects that save energy

The Ministry of Ecological Transition of Spain has proposed a new auction mechanism to finance energy efficiency projects. This initiative aims to complement the Energy Savings Certificates already existing in the country.

The auctions aim to incentivize investments in energy efficiency that offer greater return or social impact. The ministry believes this new system can boost the sector and attract more participants to energy savings initiatives.

The measure comes in the context of a broader commitment to ecological transition and the promotion of renewable energies, aligning with European environmental sustainability objectives.
