NORDESTE ULS REINFORCES PNEUMOLOGY WITH NEW SPECIALIST PHYSICIAN

The Unidade Local de Saúde (ULS) do Nordeste has hired a new Pneumology specialist to strengthen its medical team. The pulmonologist João Henrique Cordeiro da Costa began his duties through an indefinite-term individual employment contract, with the aim of increasing the response capacity in this area of specialized care.

The formalization of the hiring took place on Wednesday, September 2nd, with the presence of the President of the Board of Directors of ULS do Nordeste, Miguel Abrunhosa, and the Clinical Director of Hospital Care, Rui Terras.

The arrival of the new specialist aims to contribute to improving patients' access to Pneumology consultations and treatments, an area considered one of those with the greatest shortage of medical professionals. The reinforcement is part of ULS do Nordeste's strategy to increase the number of specialist doctors and strengthen the institution's healthcare capacity.
