The Museu de Arte Contemporânea Nadir Afonso, in Chaves, hosted on Saturday, September 5, a new session of the "There's Music in the Museum" program, aimed at babies and children from 0 to 6 years old. The initiative took place during the afternoon and offered a musical and sensory experience to the participants.
The children participated accompanied by their parents, in an activity that intertwined music with the museum space and the works exhibited there. The program aims to provide a first contact with the arts through immersive activities.
This session is part of the MACNA Educational Service programming for 2026, which includes three more meetings scheduled for the months of October, November, and December. The goal is to bring young children closer to the arts from their earliest years of life.
The program combines music, sensory exploration, and contact with culture, seeking to awaken children's artistic interest in a playful way adapted to their age group.
