Alantra acted as financial advisor to REIS – Real Estate Investment Strategies in obtaining a financing line of up to 75.6 million euros for two residential development projects in Lisbon. The transaction was structured through senior secured floating-rate notes, subscribed by Maslow Capital, and will be used to refinance existing financial debt and finance the development of the projects.
The transaction required a tailored financing structure that combined refinancing and development funds, accommodating the phased construction plan, commercialization strategy, and future flexibility of the projects. Jorge Roa, Managing Director at Alantra, stated that this transaction marks the second financing closed by Alantra with REIS, strengthening the relationship with a developer with an active pipeline of residential development in Lisbon.
REIS is a pan-European real estate investment, asset management, and development company. Guillermo Hernández, Director at Alantra, stated that the transaction demonstrates the company's ability to deliver tailored financing solutions for complex residential development projects, reinforcing its positioning in the Portuguese real estate financing market.
This transaction joins Alantra's recent track record in real estate debt advisory, which includes advising OHLA on the 63 million euro refinancing of Galería Canalejas in Madrid, Värde Partners on obtaining a 61 million euro refinancing of office assets in Lisbon and Porto, and Meliá Hotels International and Banca March on the 93 million euro financing of a portfolio of two hotels in Spain.
