In July 2026, Portugal's tourist accommodation sector recorded positive results, with 3.4 million guests, representing an increase of 1.0% compared to the same period last year. Overnight stays totaled 9.6 million, with a growth of 2.1%. Total sector revenue reached 923.7 million euros and room revenue totaled 734.4 million euros, both with an increase of 4.9%.

Growth in overnight stays was driven by both residents and non-residents. Resident overnight stays grew by 5.1%, totaling 3.1 million, while non-resident stays rose by 0.7%, reaching 6.6 million. This increase represents a recovery following the slight reduction observed in June.

Among the ten main emitting markets, Poland and Germany stood out with the highest growth, at 10.8% and 5.3% respectively. In contrast, the French market continued its downward trend, recording the largest decrease of 5.9%, while the North American market declined by 3.1%.

Financial indicators revealed an optimistic outlook, with average daily rate (RevPAR) set at 104.3 euros, an increase of 1.8%, and average room rate (ADR) reaching 154.9 euros, representing an increase of 3.2%.
