Panoramic road between Gouvães and Donelo enters execution phase

The contract for the construction of a panoramic road between Gouvães and Donelo, in the municipality of Sabrosa, was signed on June 8, 2026, following a public tender to which five companies submitted bids. The estimated execution deadline is 365 days.

The project involves the creation of a panoramic road associated with a viewpoint route, connecting the area of Cais da Foz, in Gouvães, to Donelo. The project is an application to the NORTE 2030 program.

Helena Lapa, mayor of Sabrosa, told VTM that the project is in the award phase, awaiting approval from the Court of Auditors. According to the mayor, construction is expected to begin in early September.
