The Portuguese Maritime Police took part in a rescue operation in Greece that enabled the rescue of 33 men, including some minors, who were in a dangerous situation at sea. The intervention took place following a request for assistance sent by the Greek authorities to the Portuguese authorities. The rescued people were found in conditions that required urgent support from the maritime authorities. After the rescue, it was confirmed that all survivors were physically well and did not require any medical assistance. The operation proceeded without record of serious incidents, and the rescued people were referred to the competent Greek authorities.
