Volta System with "growth pains": failures detected by the Government

The Volta System has not yet completed six months of implementation and is already presenting problems that require corrections. The Government has identified flaws in how the system is operating, considering them to be natural "growth pains" in a recent programme.

The Environment Minister publicly acknowledged this week that there are difficulties in the implementation of the new System. This admission by the executive indicates that the problems detected are significant enough to deserve attention at the highest level.
