The Metropolitano BRT Terminal, located at Trevo das Margaridas, in Irajá, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, now features a new interstate travel option to São Paulo starting this Friday. The service will be operated by the Penha company, with departures from Sunday through Friday, always at 10 PM.
The route from Margaridas Terminal to São Paulo will have the Tietê Bus Terminal in the capital of São Paulo as its destination. Before reaching the final destination, the bus makes a stop at the Campo Grande Terminal. In the opposite direction, the bus will depart from Tietê Bus Terminal at 11:20 PM, heading to the Metropolitano BRT Terminal.
The information was released by the City of Rio de Janeiro, through the Municipal Transportation Secretariat (SMTR). According to the announcement, this is a long-standing demand from residents of the North Zone and Baixada Fluminense.
The Metropolitano BRT Terminal already integrates 11 lines from six cities, increasingly expanding its importance as a hub for public transportation integration in the region.
