The University of Aveiro promotes a linguistic contest aimed at children and young people aged 3 to 15. The initiative challenges participants to create stories that value linguistic and cultural diversity.
The works must be presented through "plurilingual kamishibai" boards, a narrative technique of Japanese origin that uses illustrations on cardboard to tell stories. This approach allows exploring and celebrating different languages and cultures in a creative way.
The contest is part of a broader university project dedicated to promoting multilingualism and cultural diversity among young people. The initiative aims to encourage children to recognize and value the richness of the different languages that make up their social and educational context.
