The Federal District Civil Police arrested three men on Monday (31st) as part of Operation Keep The Faith. The suspects are under investigation for repeated theft through fraud against elderly people in the DF and other states. The group is accused of operating an itinerant scam, traveling through various cities to target vulnerable victims.
According to the investigations, the criminals mainly approached elderly people and, under the promise of "financial health," performed supposed blessing rituals. During these false rituals, the suspects replaced the victims' bank cards with fake cards, gaining access to the accounts of the robbed individuals.
The three suspects are from Bahia and had returned to the Federal District to find new victims. So far, confirmed losses exceed 50 thousand reais. The suspects were identified and arrested in the Federal District.
