A comprehensive research with sixty years of data reveals that 90% of female executives feel they are judged more harshly than men when they take on leadership positions. The study demonstrates a paradoxical transformation in corporate attitudes towards women.
Although overall attitudes towards women leaders have improved significantly over the last six decades, the gap between how men and women perceive evaluations, promotions, and opportunities in companies has increased considerably.
The female executives who participated in the study reported a growing disparity in how they are evaluated compared to their male colleagues, suggesting that, despite visible progress, there are still significant challenges related to judgment in the workplace.
The phenomenon illustrates a contradiction in the contemporary corporate environment, where formal advances coexist with subjective perceptions that continue to penalize women in leadership positions.
