Rock in Rio, Parada 7, vinyl fair, free play and more: a program for each day of the week

Rio de Janeiro hosts a week full of cultural events between September 3 and 9. Among the highlights are Rock in Rio, the Parada 7 procession with a free show at Circo Voador, and the Gira Música vinyl fair. The programming also includes Cinema Week, with tickets at R$ 10.

On Thursday (3), the group Jazz das Minas, led by Ifátókí Maíra Freitas, presents the show "Ayé Òrun" as part of the free series "Quintas no BNDES," at BNDES Cultural Space. The all-female band presents its "jazz de terreiro" at 7 PM, at Av. República do Chile 100, Centro. Admission is free.

From Friday (4) until the 13th, another edition of Rock in Rio takes place. The event features 190 shows distributed across seven stages, over seven days. On opening night, Foo Fighters performs on the Mundo Stage. The free play "King Kong Fran" is also mentioned, with Rafaela Azevedo criticizing Christianity in her new work.
