Guitarist Léo Stuart, founding member of the band Tihuana, is suing sertanejo singer Simone Mendes for R$ 1.3 million after a wall at his home collapsed in Barueri, in Greater São Paulo. The two are neighbors in a luxury condominium in the area. The incident occurred on November 6, 2024, during a period of heavy rains, and caused water, mud, and debris to enter the musician's property.
The lawsuit is still ongoing. The legal action claims that the wall that collapsed would be the responsibility of Simone Mendes' neighboring property, causing the damages to Léo Stuart's home.
Léo Stuart is nationally known for his work in the band Tihuana, which gained prominence with the song "Tropa de Elite," which was part of the soundtrack of the film of the same name. Besides being a guitarist, he also works as a pianist and backing vocalist for the group. Stuart was a member of Tihuana from 1999 to 2017.
