Lisbon inaugurated this Thursday a memorial dedicated to the victims of the Glória Elevator accident, which occurred on September 3, 2025. The space was installed at Largo da Oliveirinha and aims to officially mark the tribute to the people affected by the tragedy.
The urban intervention transformed the location into a point of memory dedicated to the victims of the accident. The memorial emerges as an institutional response to the need to create a permanent physical space of recognition and respect.
The objective of the intervention is to create a space that allows for tribute, memory and collective reflection on the accident. The location aims to serve as a meeting place for victims, family members and citizens in general who wish to pay tribute to those affected by the tragedy.
