Flood survivors in the Nuwakot region of Nepal used a provisional cable installed by the Army to cross the Trishuli river, which was in heavy flood. People were seen hanging from the cable while soldiers and residents pulled them to safety. The Trishuli river is one of the main watercourses in the region and represents a dangerous obstacle for populations affected by the flooding. The military assistance allowed the rescue of survivors from areas isolated by the waters.
