Luís Elias acknowledged that the Lisbon councilor "has every right to make whatever statements he prefers," demonstrating respect for the mayor's position, although without directly identifying the municipal council president.
The commander emphasized that public security policies often require discretion and effective work, rather than public statements that may alarm the population. He argued that coordination between different entities, including the municipality itself, is essential for effective security management.
