Responsible for mediating contact between Vorcaro with Gonet and Mendonça, Bahian lawyer met banker at Mineirão

The Bahian lawyer Ciro Rocha Soares was mentioned in a Federal Police report that analyzed conversations between former banker Daniel Vorcaro and Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Federal Court. Ciro met Vorcaro at Mineirão, cheering for Atlético-MG, and has good political connections in Bahia.

The PF report, made public by Minister André Mendonça, revealed that Ciro acts as a bridge between Vorcaro and the Attorney General, Paulo Gonet. Ciro works in partnership with lawyer Roberto Podval, a renowned criminal defense attorney who has represented figures such as former minister José Dirceu.

On Wednesday, Ciro's name appeared again in the investigations, this time allegedly trying to arrange a meeting between Minister André Mendonça, rapporteur of the Master case at the STF, and Vorcaro, before the case was revealed publicly.

Reporting by the ICL website brought messages between Ciro and Vorcaro in which the lawyer states he is with Mendonça and says he is trying to schedule a meeting between the minister and the former banker.
