The hot air mass affecting the territory is accompanied by Sahara dust, approaching the Iberian Peninsula from North Africa. This rare meteorological situation creates conditions for the occurrence of mud rain.
The phenomenon combines extreme heat with sand particles suspended in the atmosphere, resulting in precipitation that, by dragging these particles, acquires a cloudy appearance. Weather authorities warn of the risks associated with this combination of conditions.
