After the collapse of the transfer to Dynamo Moscow, Gonzalo Plata will return to Rio de Janeiro to rejoin Flamengo. The Ecuadorian forward is expected at the club by the end of this week, between Friday and Saturday, but it is still uncertain when he will be able to play again.
Plata's presence in the next match against Remo, in Belém in the Brasileirão, is considered unlikely. He had traveled to report to Dynamo last Saturday and, since he did not train during this week, he may need time to regain adequate fitness.
Flamengo disagrees with the medical rejection the player underwent in Russia and does not intend to conduct their own medical evaluations. The decision to include him in the squad will depend mainly on his physical condition.
The two upcoming matches for the red-and-black team will be away: in addition to the game against Remo, the team faces Independiente del Valle, in Quito, for the first leg of the Libertadores quarterfinals.
