Judge Deborah Boardman suspended the enforcement of Donald Trump's new executive order that aimed to limit birthright citizenship in the United States. This decision comes as the latest attempt by the Trump administration to restrict the right to American nationality based on place of birth.

In her ruling, Deborah Boardman stated that the executive measure "is almost certainly unconstitutional," thereby questioning the legality of the order implemented by the Trump administration.

The judicial block prevents the new rules from taking effect, rules that sought to deny automatic citizenship to children born in the United States whose parents were not citizens or legal residents.

This decision represents a new episode in the legal battle between the Trump administration and American courts, which have been blocking several of the restrictive measures implemented by the president since the beginning of his term.
