The Mozambican government approved new rules for private air operators, modernizing the licensing system through the introduction of digital licenses with anti-fraud mechanisms. This change aims to modernize and make the country's civil aviation sector more transparent.
The new rules also include the creation of new aerial work categories, allowing for a more detailed and appropriate classification of operations carried out by private operators.
Additionally, private air operators are now required to report monthly to the regulatory authority information on passengers transported, routes used, and flight hours completed, thus increasing control and oversight of the sector.
