Fluminense faces a moment of financial squeeze, with delays in player image rights payments and pending commitments with creditors. The deposit to the athletes, normally made on the 28th, has not yet been made, and the squad was informed that there is no forecast for the payment.
The situation adds to debts with other clubs. Botafogo, for example, has not yet received the full amount for the signing of Savarino, made in January for approximately US$ 5 million (R$ 26.4 million at the time), in an installment transaction.
Last week, Fluminense received a minimum-level warning from CBF for delays in debt installments with clubs, employees, and public authorities. The management itself acknowledged the delays in the Solvency Declaration, which was considered a mitigating factor.
The club invested approximately R$ 151 million in reinforcements for the 2026 season, including striker Rodrigo Castillo (R$ 52 million) and Savarino, amid this scenario of financial difficulties while negotiating its future SAF.
