How to get to and from Rock in Rio 2026? Public transport is the option recommended by the organization

cbn3 September 2026 at 04:02

Rock in Rio 2026 will have its public transport scheme recommended by the event organization. The Rio City Hall set up a special plan with the closure of several streets and accesses around the Olympic Park, where the shows will take place. The entry area will be extremely closed and with no access for cars, making it impossible to stop vehicles nearby.

The organization encourages the use of the BRT at the Centro Olímpico Terminal, which is the closest station to the event. A special ticket will be sold for R$ 29, which includes round trip to Rock in Rio. The purchase must be made through the Jaé app, and each person can purchase up to ten tickets per day.

In total, there will be three special express lines to facilitate the public's arrival. Line SE008 makes the route between Jardim Oceânico Terminal and Centro Olímpico Terminal, with no intermediate stops. Line SE009 goes from Alvorada Terminal to Morro do Outeiro Station, also with no stops. Line SE010 makes the route between Paulo da Portela Terminal and Morro do Outeiro Station, with stops at Praça Seca, Tanque and Taquara.

The spectacle visible to the public is just the most apparent part of a structure that works almost entirely behind the scenes. The financial dimension, exemplified by Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour," which ended in December, gives an idea of the scale of this operation.
