Hugo Soares defends Luís Neves and classifies the Chega's motion of censure as "ridiculous"

Hugo Soares, parliamentary leader of PSD, defended Luís Neves and classified as "ridiculous" the motion of censure presented by Chega. The social-democrat considers that André Ventura's party ran out of arguments in the areas of immigration and security.

According to Hugo Soares, Chega seeks to turn the controversy around Luís Neves into a pretext to bring down the Government. The PSD leader also rejected the existence of an alleged presidential ultimatum directed at the executive.

Hugo Soares said he does not believe the President of the Republic sends "messages through friends", thus refuting the speculations about a possible intervention of the Belém Palace in the ongoing political crisis.
